As a proud member of the Croydon community, Regent Land and Developments are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to get involved in one of the most highly-anticipated events in the local calendar this year – the re-opening of Fairfield Halls.
Fairfield Halls closed in July 2016 to undergo a multi-million-pound refurbishment, funded by Croydon Council. Upon re-opening, the building will be one of the UK’s largest arts centres; with a new theatre, concert hall, live-music venue, and the Arnham Foyer – a community hub with a free programme of events and exhibitions. The project lies at the heart of the £5.25bn regeneration programme to develop a new cultural and educational quarter for East Croydon.
We are pleased to be sponsoring the Croydon Arts Ball, an exclusive invite-only event taking place in mid-September as part of a week-long programme of special events to celebrate the re-opening. It is set to be a fantastic evening, which we are looking forward to attending.
The programme of launch events will kick off on 16th September with a special event at the Ashcroft Playhouse featuring Dame Judi Dench, who will be taking part in a Q&A with Croydon-born actress Dame Peggy Ashcroft in front of a specially invited audience of students from local schools studying GCSE and A Level drama.
