Regent Land is delighted to announce we have submitted a detailed planning application to redevelop an underused brownfield site in Highams Park E4, into a new residential development with an exceptional, innovative design by Clear Architects.
The exciting proposal, involving the demolition of 33 garages currently on site and erection of five new sustainable, architecturally-designed homes, offers a number of benefits to the local community:
- Redevelopment of a brownfield site into much-needed new homes, including the safe removal of garages in disrepair and contaminated materials.
- A new River Ching inlet incorporated in the design, ensuring the flood zone is improved and creating a biodiverse rich island habitat.
- A sensitively delivered and high-quality landscape proposal, restoring the River Ching’s banks, planting native trees and removing the majority of the existing hardstanding, with a biodiversity net gain to allow nature to flourish.
- Sustainable design, incorporating renewable energy and other sustainable technologies in the new properties.
We have worked collaboratively with the Waltham Forest Planning Department & Environment Agency to bring this scheme forward and look forward to receiving a positive outcome to our application.
