East Mill Bay

East Mill Bay, Colchester 

We purchased this underused, forgotten site in a fantastic location on the banks of the River Colne in Colchester as it offered huge potential for redevelopment.

Following public consultation, we submitted a detailed planning application for 20 new homes on the site in February 2019 – including 19 new build homes and the restoration of the grade II listed mill into a three-bedroom house. We worked alongside KCA Architects and the planning team at Avison Young to overcome the many challenges posed by the restoration of a heritage building.

We were pleased to have our planning application unanimously approved by Colchester Council in July 2019 and look forward to seeing the scheme come to fruition.
